Don’t nominate me again, DR JOSE CHAMELEON tells Zzina awards organizers

East Africa’s finest Dr Jose Chameleon the multi award winning artist has told the Zzina awards organizers to exclude him from the awards next year.

The forever hit maker who received a total of four nominations in this years event slated for the 25th March 2022 used his official face book page in a post which read as follows,

“Galaxy Fm Uganda in a special way you have tirelessly contributed to our music industry and may you continue to up lift every talent,

I wish to bring in my concern as a general in this celebrated music industry. Please I wish you can next time substitute my nominations with artists that really work hard to be part of the Zzina awards. I don’t mean to say I don’t appreciate me being part of it but I am sure many young artists need that space.

I guess next year you’ll consider something like ‘Life time Achievement’ where many great artists like me belong.”

Congratulations to all nominees, he concluded.

It should be remembered that this is not the first time that a top artist is excusing himself from an award ceremony, 5 years ago Bebe Cool came out and said he would no longer be part of any local music awards after he was accused of owning and always rewarding himself the HiPipo music award every year!!

The Zzina awards are an annual event organized by Galaxy Fm to reward top performing artists in various categories.
