Nakawa West Member of Parliament and National Unity platform Spokesperson Joel Besekezi Ssenyonyi has called upon Ugandans not to take Gen.Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s retirement from the army serious.
On Tuesday, 8th March, Muhoozi confirmed via his official Twitter account that he had ended his 28 year of service in the Uganda People’s defense Forces (UPDF)
Ssenyonyi while appearing on NBS TV political program Frontline said Muhoozi himself doesn’t take himself seriously
“This General is interesting. One time he called me an imbecile on Social media, I replied, telling him not to tweet under the influence of alcohol. I think we shouldn’t take him seriously because he doesn’t take himself seriously.”
Muhoozi kick started military training in 1994 after his high school before he later joined University of Nottingham from 1996 – 1998. He is expected to embark on a political career and many are speculating that he is eyeing to take over from his father Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in 2026.
