Ugandan teenage brother-sister impress at Canada’s Got talent auditions

Ugandan teenage brother-sister singers Esther and Ezekiel now based in Canada showcased their talents on Tuesday at Canada’s Got talent auditions in Toronto.

The two vocalists impressed the judges who included Howie Mendel

The teenagers are optimistic at winning the competition. The duo also hailed their mother Julie Birungi (popular gospel musician) for always supporting their music career.

“We separated with our mother for five years and that was the hardest thing of our lives. Mum left us and decided to go and make a new life for us. She has been our music teacher and supported us tremendously.” Winning the Canada’s Got talent will be the greatest thing of our lives.” We shall take mum to Las Vegas if we win the competition this year.” Stated the duo

Last year, they reunited with their mother and currently leave with her in Canada. Pastor Steven Mutesasira is their father.

Canada’s Got talent was created by Simon Cowell and the event is currently one of the most successful reality TV format ever, airing in 194 territories worldwide.

It also holds the Guinness World Records titles for the highest number of adaptations, having been commissioned in over 72 territories.

The season’s finale for this year is scheduled for 17th May and Cowell who created it will join the panel of Judge.

Esther and Ezekiel broke to the scene following their astonishing performances at the inaugural East Africa’s Got talent competition which they won in 2019.
