The mother of Swangz Avenue singer Priscilla Zawedde alias Azawi has come out to defend her daughter’s dresscode and lifestyle.
Azawi who is more of a tomboy had a successful concert last weekend which saw her mother too in attendance.
She addressed her daughter’s acting like a boy which includes dresscode. According to the mother of the singer, she’s ok with her daughter being the way she deems fit rather than pretending to be someone she’s not.
“I’m proud of my daughter and who she has become. She has always loved to live, dress and act like a boy. She even had dreadlocks as she likes rasta things but Swangz Avenue made her cut them off.
She just doesn’t like things of dressing in skimpy outfits and making up. I’m okay with her living that boyish lifestyle than pretending to be someone she is not,” said Azawi’s mother.
The singer to some people think that she’s not straight. These think that she could be gay because of the boyish way she behaves.
