Singer Mariam Namu more known by her stage name and song, Lady Mariam Tindatine has revealed how her family tried to sabotage her career.
While appearing on NTV’s Mwasuze Mutya program, the singer told how she tried to help her family.
After finding fame and some success, she tired to build a house for her family in Kabwohe.
This however didn’t please these and they decided to foil her career.
They did all they could to sabotage her career.
“I wanted to build my own empire so I decided to use my savings to build a house for myself and my family in Kabwohe but my family members were not happy. My success angered them and they did everything to sabotage my progress,” she said.
Lady Mariam also added that when she became a star, she got her own apartment.
Her siblings tried to copy her but they couldn’t cope up with the expenses.
The faded singer also explained why she’s single and will continue doing so.
Apparently she loves her peace of mind and in order to maintain it, she will keep being single.
“I don’t know what is next in my life but I know that I don’t want marriage because I love my peace,” she said while appearing on NTV’s Mwasuze Mutya with Faridah Nakazibwe.
In regards to her sick music career, Lady Mariam said that she’s never taken a break from singing.
She only lacks someone to bankroll her career because the industry has changed a lot over the years.
