Ray G, a singer from Western Uganda, recently discussed his reasons for not wearing a wedding band, despite the fact that he and his spouse Annabelle were married in 2021. It seems that he is not too fond of the entire ring business.
In a recent interview, Ray G clarified that he considers wedding rings to be somewhat of an alien custom. “It said, “”Hey, I’m an African man, rings are a white thing.”
He added that he doesn’t wear jewelry to win favor with others. Not a piece of metal, but his devotion to his wife is what truly counts to him.
Even Ray G stated that he wouldn’t care if his spouse didn’t wear a ring. He believes that their marriage is still going strong in spite of the rings.
