Winnie Nwagi is a musician who doesn’t hesitate to make audacious claims. In an interview with a local TV station, Nwagi requested that a public holiday be observed in honor of her birthday.
Nwagi clarified that it is past due that they honor her, as she was destined to be a musician and celebrity who has done all for Ugandan music and its supporters.

Music is what I do, music is my job. I was born for it. On July 20th, a star was born, and it should be a public holiday…” she partly responded to a journalist who praised her singing abilities.
