Kenzo rescues Grenade official from the jaws of jail

Due to unresolved allegations from 2023, singer Grenade Official’s night at Fik Fameica’s show took an unexpected turn when he was arrested by police. The allegations originated from a physical brawl that left fellow vocalist Rickman Manrick with several injuries.

Eddy Kenzo, a performer and president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), obtained a bond and Grenade was released. Grenade apologized on social media for the 2023 incident and shared hope for a new beginning in 2024.

“I am deeply disappointed with the events of last year,” he said in a video, “but I am determined to leave it behind and focus on a brighter future.” He thanked his supporters for their continuous support and expressed regret to anyone he had offended, emphasizing that he had never meant to hurt anyone.

Grenade also expressed his appreciation to Eddy Kenzo and the UNMF for their help during this trying time. “Their unwavering belief in me has given me the strength to move forward,” he stated.
