Rema invited Eddy Kenzo to her concert, which was held on Friday at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala, earlier this month.
Despite mobilizing support for the Ngonze singer on social media, the Big Talent leader remained hidden from view during the ceremony.
Kenzo claims that he refrained from attending the event because he didn’t want to detract from Rema’s performance.
He clarified that instead of Rema, the day’s queen, being the center of attention, all the cameras would have been trained on him.
“I always think twice before I act, I don’t think it would have made sense for me to attend @remah001’s show physically, for people to put all the cameras and attention on me forgetting the main aim of the show, to start relating me to things, I didn’t want to sabotage her show because at the end of the day, I’m a beneficiary.”
