Artist Jackie Chandiru battled drug addiction for years, spending years in treatment facilities.
The singer has already shared her experiences with the difficulties she had while undergoing treatment. According to Chandiru, one of the residents of the facility nearly sexually assaulted her.
The caretaker’s assistance was necessary to bring peace back to the room when they used to share it with the male patients.
“I was sexually assaulted during my rehab times. This man attempted to rape me because we used to live together, and I was the only female among a good number of male patients. However, I made a loud alarm, and the caretakers came and eventually restored calm in the room,” she partly said in an interview with a local YouTuber.
Chandiru defeated addiction, and she is now putting out new music.
