The Public Relations Affiliation of Uganda (PRAU) launched the PRAU Run at NRG Radio, aimed toward elevating UGX 800 million to set up a residence for Uganda’s PR neighborhood. The PRAU Governing Council flagged off the fundraising with a contribution of UGX100 million.

This 12 months’s PRAU Run, held beneath the theme Run for the PRAU Residence varieties a part of a sequence of actions the Affiliation has lined as much as rejoice its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years since its founding in 1976.

Launching the 2026 PRAU Run, Ronald Beinomugisha, PRAU Vice President, stated, “As we rejoice 50 years, this run is greater than a health occasion. Beinomugisha additional revealed that together, we’re making a legacy for the PR career in Uganda, and recognized all those that participated in earlier editions, together with the sponsors and well-wishers.

He urged PR professionals, college students, company companions, and communication fanatics to participate within the 5km and 10km routes by Kololo on twenty second Could 2026, with Sidelines Bar and Restaurant as the place to begin.

PRAU paid-up members will entry the package at UGX 40,000, and Non-PRAU members at UGX 50,000.

Along with the Run, PRAU concluded its fiftieth Annual Normal Assembly in March 2026, throughout which it launched digital membership IDs and outlined actions for the fiftieth Anniversary celebration within the final half of the 12 months.
