Uganda has learnt its opponents for the CECAFA U-17 Championship on the draw held on the lavish Azam Studios in Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania on Wednesday, twenty third September 2026.

On the draw supervised by CECAFA Competitions Director Yusuf Mossi, hosts Rwanda had been drawn in Group A with Sudan, Somalia and South Sudan.

Uganda Cubs will battle Ethiopia and Burundi in Group B, whereas Tanzania, Djibouti and Kenya are in Group C.

The championship might be staged in Kigali Metropolis, Rwanda between tenth and nineteenth October 2026.

With Kigali Pele Stadium and the FERWAFA grounds named as the 2 internet hosting venues for the event that may run for ten days.

The opening match day might be on tenth October 2026. Match day two will come on twelfth October 2026 and match day three on 14th October 2026.

The highest groups after the group levels will progress to the semi-finals alongside the most effective second-placed nation. Three nations will advance to the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
