The lead singer of the band, Irene Namatovu, has chosen not to bleach her skin tone and has kept it natural.
Namatovu said in an interview with Spark TV that while she doesn’t find bleaching interesting, she doesn’t have a problem with those who do it.
She is happy with her skin tone and finds inspiration in her late mother, who always accepted her dark complexion.
“I just don’t find it interesting, even though I don’t have a problem with those who bleach. I choose to remain in my natural color because I am satisfied with it. Just to let you know, my mother was a black woman, and she loved it. I draw my inspiration from her,” she said.
