The family of the late Speaker of Parliament Emeritus Rt Hon. Jacob Oulanyah has confirmed that his body will spend a night in his unfinished Mansion in Omoro District before burial.

Oulanyah’s body is expected to arrive in the country on Friday, 1st April. He died on Sunday, 20th March in Seattle, Washington USA.

“His body’s will lie in his unfinished house the night before he is buried.
The decision is to have Oulanyah ‘spend a night’ in his incomplete house on the last leg of his no-return journey to the land of ancestors.

“Arrangements are in place to furnish the near-complete part of the buildings for temporary occupancy so that Oulanyah, when the body arrives, does not “miss sleeping in his own house”. Milton Omara the uncle to the deceased told Daily Monitor

Oulanyah had two homes, one in Muyenga and another in Omoro which is yet to be completed.

Meanwhile, the Uganda People’s Defence Forces engineering Brigade has embarked on refurbishing the house located in Ayom Lony Village, Lalogi Sub-county in Omoro District.
