A person has been arrested on suspicion of assault after an incident throughout a match in Wales’ third tier on Saturday.

North Wales Police mentioned a 35-year-old was in custody following the Ardal North West League sport between newbie sides Trearddur Bay and Porthmadog FC on 17 January.

Trearddur Bay initially mentioned on Sunday that Tom Taylor had been suspended after a video confirmed him showing to elbow a Porthmadog FC participant within the face.

In a second assertion – after an emergency basic assembly of the committee – they introduced he had been launched by the membership.

Footage of the incident at Y Traeth (The Seashore) stadium in Gwynedd has circulated broadly on social media.

North West Police mentioned in a press release they have been conscious of the video.

“Officers have been making enquiries to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident,” they mentioned. “As a part of this investigation, a 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He stays in police custody at the moment.

The Soccer Affiliation of Wales (FAW) confirmed to BBC Sport Wales it was wanting into the incident.
