MPs and the public have been left shocked today after an NRM MP collapsed today on the floor of Parliament.
This was none other than Eddie Kwizera. Kwizera is the MP for Bukimbiri County in Kisoro District.
He recently came to Parliament about 3 months ago after winning a not so contested by -election.
Kwizera had previously won the 2021 General election for the same seat.
However, court nullified his victory after a petition by James Qwebeyi indicated that the election was manipulated.
Its not yet clear what triggered his collapse but its said that it might have been cardiac arrest.
Some have also faulted his old age as a catalyst to his medical crisis.
Kwizera was rushed to the Parliament clinic for first aid and he’s said to have been regained consciousness.
