Emmanuel Lwasa, a controversial tycoon, is upset with Masaka villagers. He says they forced him into poverty by restricting his enterprises. Lwasa claimed that he traveled to Masaka with a lot of cash to invest but ended up losing money, causing his businesses to fail.
“I don’t want to talk about Masaka people because of what happened. I went there with lots of cash for investment but only incurred losses. I never made any money in Masaka, which is why I decided to come back to Kampala and focus,” he mentioned in an interview with a local television station.
Lwasa is famously known for his relationships with city socialites and his influence in the bar business in Masaka and Kampala.
