NCS able to course of funds to 18 UPL golf equipment for 2026/27 season

The Nationwide Council of Sports activities (NCS) has allotted UGX 5,500,000,000 (Uganda Shillings 5 Billion 5 Hundred Million Solely) to the 18 Uganda Premier League (UPL) golf equipment for the Monetary Yr 2026/2027.

In a letter dated 18th September 2026 (Ref: NCS. 1/6) addressed to the Chairman of the Uganda Premier League Board, the NCS confirmed it has finalized onboarding the financial institution particulars for all 18 UPL golf equipment onto the Authorities Built-in Monetary Administration System (IFMS) and is able to course of cost.

The letter is in reference to UPL’s letter Ref: UPL/NCS/01/26 dated 2nd September 2026, which was in response to NCS’s earlier letter of twenty seventh August 2026 requesting financial institution particulars.

In keeping with the breakdown, every of the 18 golf equipment will obtain an annual allocation of UGX 305,555,556.

The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Financial Growth has launched 50% of the full annual subvention price range within the first quarter of the Monetary Yr 2026/2027.

Accordingly, every membership is entitled to UGX 152,777,778 for Quarter One (Q1) of FY 2026/2027.

Breakdown of the allocation as per Desk 1:

1. Welfare for gamers & Technical Group – 60%
– Annual Distribution: UGX 183,333,333
– Q1 Allocation: UGX 91,666,667

2. Particular Consideration for Nationwide Group Gamers within the Membership if any. If not allocate to Merchandise No. 3 – TID – 20%
– Annual Distribution: UGX 61,111,111
– Q1 Allocation: UGX 30,555,556

The federal government subvention is geared toward supporting membership welfare and enhancing the professionalization of the Uganda Premier League.
