Butambala shootout neighbours Busujju to seal Maiden Masaza Cup semifinal slot

Butambala have reached their first ever Buganda Masaza Cup semifinal after a penalty shootout conquer Busujju within the return leg of the quarterfinal performed at Kibibi S.S Playground.

Butambala, who misplaced the primary leg 1-0 at Busujju, wanted to both match the scoreline or web two unanswered targets to succeed in the final 4.

At their house yard, Kayondo Francis struck for Butambala to stage the tie on combination and the winner needed to be determined by way of a shootout.

Within the shootout, Butambala cruised 4-2 to prevail to their first ever semifinal within the competitors.

Butambala will now watch for the winner between document champions Gomba and Buddu who face off within the return leg of the quarterfinal on Sunday.

Gomba thrashed Buddu 3-0 within the first leg and can head into Sunday’s return leg at Kitovu Enviornment with an enormous benefit. Buddu will want a miraculous collapse from the five-time champions to arrange a date with Butambala within the semifinal.

Within the different quarterfinals, Kyaggwe who beat Mawogola 2-1 within the first leg will want only a draw at Bishops SSS Stadium, Mukono on Sunday to advance, whereas Kyaddondo and Bugerere will return to motion on Sunday to find out who makes it to the semis following their goalless stalemate final weekend.
